DTC 420 Catalyst Toyota 2002 can the converter be cleaned?

Unfortunately converters are unserviceable, but their may be another issue I would have your mechanic check your oxygen sensors to confirm they are working properly to avoid unnecessary expenses replacing all of them is recommended if one fails to prevent bad readings

You can try a bottle of catalytic converter cleaner but it probably won't work.
