change it according to the manufacturer's service schedule- but they probably say something like every 90,000 miles- that may be good, but I would change at every 60,000 miles- and do the water pump while you're at it-

I have a 1996 Avalon with 121K miles...the owners manual said unless you do alot of heavy towing, don't worry about it.... so for peace of mind I took the cover off to inspect and it looked fine since it was protected from all the outside weather elements.... and have not changed any of the OEM belts also (alternater, AC, etc.) but probably will in the Spring 2018...best car I ever owned
