Is my car still ok to drive cross country

Ok so I'm trying to get back home to The Woodlands,
Texas from Driggs, Idaho. I moved up recently but soon
after I arrived I totaled the car I drove up in (2015 Kia Rio).
The car I have now is a 1991 Toyota Camry LE V6. Has
about 224,000 miles on it. The car is origanlly from
Arizona, but I bought it in Idaho. So now to my question.
Would I have any problems getting down and back? Can I
take my car with little risk of breaking down or should I
just play it safe and take a bus? Just don't want to end up
broken down on the side of the road halfway there. Thank
you in advance for taking the time to help me out
(whoever you may be).

That is impossible to say with that many miles. The real question is with your knowledge of the car do you trust it and if it dies on the way do you have a back up plan?

If the vehicles runs fine and was well taken care of I would drive it. If it breaks down, leave it and get a rental car.

Bob is right! Except I doubt if your 1991 Camry will break down. I Just drove from San Diego, CA, to South New Jersey this June in a 1989 Camry with more than 200k mi -- in 4 days! Had only one "minor" glitch in Arizona; a truck was stuck on a very steep hill and I was forced to reduce speed which caused car to constantly shift gears and overheat. Pulled over to side of road, let car get a good cooling off and within about 45 minutes, was good to go. Here is advice: On the highways, pick up good speed -- say 70-75MPH -- and your 1991 Camry will take you home in one piece. Good & safe travel to you.

Plan A check all the fluid levels...check tires...gas up and take off on your new adventure. Plan B you break down with a major issue. Sell it for junk and take the bus home. Plan C. How much would it cost to have this vehicle TOWED....from point A to point B? Let us know what you decided.
