94 Toyota Camry won't start now after

Asked by SimplyWicked1 Jan 16, 2017 at 03:10 PM about the 1994 Toyota Camry XLE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed out the Air Intake hose on my
94 Toyota Camry XLE. It was cracked. So
after I changed it out It will not start. Turns
over and if it catches its at a very low idel
then stalls out. Battery, Alt are fine but now
I'm just letting it sit for a bit. Maybe a Battery
Jump box will give it more spark to start?  I
tapped up the old intake before so the car
would run and it was fine. Hit Gas the next
day it started stalling out. So that's why I
changed the hose out. But now I'm stumped
on what to do.

If the engine is running worse than it did before the air hose change...l would conclude you need to revisit your installation. Make sure all connection are sealed and tight. Any air leaks from cracks or loose clamps will distrubt the computers calculation of air flow into the engine. Get back to us with results.
