Someone must have cross threaded it at one time. Unless you're a good mechanic, I would not take it out at home. I would bring it to a shop and have them remove it. After they remove it, they will put a sleeve (helicoil) in the hole and it should be good as new. If you want to attempt it yourself, just go on Youtube and type in "how to re-thread a spark plug hole".
