Hit a pothole yesterday on the rear of my car,
slowly going onto the road and it started making a
loud noise in the engine. I was wondering if you
know what it was.

It is possible that you damaged the exhaust system. Take it to a shop so they can get it up on a lift to take a look.

Just to make sure you are ok to drive the vehicle for that look see under....you might check your Fluid Levels first. Oil and Coolant come to mind.
