how many quarts of oil does my engine hold?

i changed my oil & thought it called for 4 3/4 quarts of oil. But, when i took it to a oil changing shop they said the computer told them only 3.6 quarts of oil is recommended for my car. Which is the correct amount of oil required in my car?

4 quarts. or you can put 3 in, drive it for a bit let it run and check the dipstick level.
