Car want crank

My car want start. When I go somewhere  and cut  
off my car want crank . I have to sit for hours
before it starts back. This time it never cranked
back up. All the lights, horn, radio works. I replaced
the starter with a brand new one. It still want say
nothing. The battery has good connection as well.
What could be the problem?

Engine Does Not Crank Over.....not even a click or two? Automatic trans???....might be a bad PN switch. Move the gear shift lever in and out of Park a few times and attempt a restart. Manual trans?....might be a bad clutch switch. Try the ...Tap Test. with a small hammer....smack the Starter Motor housing a few times while someone else attempts a restart. Get back with results.
