My car was running good until I had someone to change my oil gasket but after that it would start then continue to shut off so I got the fuel filter changed and spark plugs but not the wires

98 Camry starts and dies.....was ok before recent oil_____gasket? Then noticed starts and shuts off. Fuel filter and plugs are recently replaced since start/die began..............What does your oil gasket mechanic say ? An inspection of the areas that were disturbed during repairs is in order......You need to know if the shut off is primary or secondary ignition, then if fuel pressure drops before it dies. A code may be set for the issue. You can see if there is codes with a code reader. Then you need tests to run, the method, and specs......at this time you want to know if it loses spark, fuel or both.
Are any warning lights lit? is your vehicle antitheft equipped ?
Some systems allow the car to start, but can shut off the engine. You need each type of code. You need to know if you lose spark or fuel. It must be one or the other. What is the result of retracing your steps to find any problem resulting from oil ____ gasket repair ?........ If your antitheft was shutting off injectors, your fuel pressure may still be up. Without test equip. you cannot run tests. Without a lot of familiarity, I can just keep asking things. like, is the carkey involved in any way ? Does the antitheft or security light come on? You must ask toyota next but have your symptoms and conditions ready to tell them.
Getting a code reader at the parts store and checking OBD II would be for engine runability but not a shut down by an antitheft. There is more you can do with a scan tool, ask for directions, arrange to return the tester after, and use a credit card. When you get the code(s) you can discuss them there or research them in a public library database. Code definitions can get you thinking in the right area. When you know the test to run for the code, it may help decipher the whole issue. If you have AAA you can just tow it to a toyota tech. they would already know. If there were some known issues with that model they may even have a tech bulletin. Ask for a service manager. or service advisor.
If your vehicle has a half unplugged connector, or broken connector hardshell making a shutoff happen, the codes may or may not help. The visual inspection is important. If your relays are involved, the injectors can be affected. Since it depends how they wired them it is not definite, but inspecting the relay center and power distribution and fuses in their box under the hood may be a good idea.
Connection of battery cables at both ends, engine ground, power cable to distribution box, anything disturbed between power source and function could be left loose or apart accidentally during a gasket repair. I am concerned it may have been taken apart in a way that (oil ____ gasket) Does not illustrate.

I think it has something to do with the fuel or whatever he took apart to get to the oil gasket
He took off the timing belt and the alternator while changing it.
What oil gasket ? You best have him come find what he did if you are sure it was directly affected by his being in there. Or have him respond to the needed info. But have you asked your toyota dealer? They may have a few quick things to check you can do.
