1998 camry 6cyl. Won't crank over .

1998 camry v6 it won't crank over when I try to
start it the battery is good . When I engage the key
to crank the engine over all it does is cut off the
power to the clock and the power to the cigarrette
lighter. Help...

Engine probably seized. Pull spark plugs creating no compression when trying to turn over& see if it will turn over. If not w/jump then may be seized. Or starter motor seized so rap it w hammer to get it to engage maybe. Keep trying everything you can think of !

Sounds like a near dead Battery.....or...a corroded Battery to Starter Motor connection. Do you see any white Goo on the Battery Connections? NO?.....try a PROPER Jump Start. Careful now....improper jump start results in big $$$$ repair bills.
