So my 1999 Toyota Camry LE 4cyclinder cranks but won't start

Asked by Ben Dec 23, 2016 at 01:52 PM about the 1999 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So for a week straight my car was having
trouble starting so I would really have to
gas it for it to get going. Now my car won't
start at all. All it does is crank. I changed
the ignition coil and even bought new
spark plugs and wires but a trusted source
said I don't need the new wires or new
igniters. So I end up changing the fuel
pump last night and still my car won't start.
After changing the fuel pump it starts up
for about 3seconds before dying again.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Have you noticed any Warning Lights ON/Flashing when the Engine did run? In order to trouble shoot a Crank but no Start...you need some test equipment. Absent said equipment...about all you can do is check fuses and continue to replace parts that may or may not be bad. Is there a Fuel Filter located under the Hood?
