2000 Toyota Camry LE won't start in the sun

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2000 Toyota Camry LE starts just fine when in my garage but when I park it
in the sun, it won't start. The battery is new and so is the starter.

That's pretty weird. When it is not starting in the sun, the first thing I'd do is take it out of Park and put it right back into Park or Neutral hard and attempt a restart- the Park safety switch may be bad. If still no start, the next thing would be to double check the battery connections at both ends. If any of this fixes it, please report back.

It turns out it was a bad battery. I couldn't believe it, because AAA certified (Falcon Auto Repair in Gardena, CA) installed a new battery 9 months earlier. To add insult to injury, they charged me to replace that battery! Why I have to pay for a bad battery is robbery. Thanks for your response.
