Car won't start, make noise an shake.

Everytime it rains outside my car will not
start it'll make a noise it shakes and smells
like gas. Plus the check engine light is on
can you tell me what could be the problem
and causing my car to do this?

First get the OBD2 engine codes read but I think you are getting moisture in the ignition system. All the connections should be sealed with dielectric grease to keep out moisture. I would start with the spark plug boots.

Maybe water goes to the sparkplugs by the coils, well... the coils. Also happened one time with the MAP sensor. Try finding out what code is on when this happens. How does this happen? When driving all out of a sudden? Or after heavy rain, when driving, starts to sputter? Try taking out the sparkplug wires and put a little grease on them (on the outside) and see if this happens. Maybe they are not in a very good shape and electricity 'slips' helped by the humidity.
