Help with my 2000 Toyota Camry please?

I just bought a 2000 Toyota Camry about 6
days ago. When I 1st got it the motor ran
awesome. It was so quiet you couldn't hear
it running. Now, 2 days ago it started making
noise, stalling, check engine light on and
blinking, jerks super bad, and the engine
shakes. Put new battery. I'm going to change
spark plugs & clean the sensors today. Any
idea what it might be? Your help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Consider checking the engine oil. Pull the dip stick and smell the oil. Does it smell like GAS. Is the oil black and dirty.?
