Was this issue present BEFORE the Thermostat and Cap replacement? If YES....You either have an internal coolant leak.....eg......Cracks or blown head gasket.....or external leak ...eg...hoses Radiator heater core.,....etc. Both require a Cooling System Pressure Test. Did you notice any clouds of white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe when the engine is running?

thank you for your input. when the car completely cooled down, i had found water pump leaking through weep hole. ive replaced water pump & issue has stopped. also changed thermostat
Cool....nice job. Glad you have good eye sight. Good Luck and thanks for the update.
