Toyota camry crank no start

Asked by GuruN4N5L Oct 06, 2019 at 07:32 PM about the 2000 Toyota Camry XLE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Nieces car. doesn't have the money to take it to a repair shop. She said
she started up a hill and it wouldn't pull like 20 mph with petal on the floor.
After a min or 2 started running fine drove to my house cut it off now wont
start.. i used to be a mechanic my problem is not fixing or diag its not having
the tools to do so any more. So Question is. I can hear the fuel pump runing
and yes i checked it is firing. I dont have the pressure guages to check the
fuel pressure. if i can hear the pump running what are the chances it is still
the pump that is the prob. is it worth going to buy the gauges or should i
check something else first. I have a decent scanner buy its not showing any
codes.
