my 2001 toyota camry temp gauge goes up when idling or when in a traffic jam. IVE ALREADY PUT IN A NEW RADIATOR, THERMOSTAT, TEMPSENSORS, radiator switch, coolant BUT STILL NO CHANGE. When the fans come on temp gauge goes down.

if the coolant is full, it is possible there is air in the system, hopefully. with all that new work, the only thing left is the water pump. If I were you though, I would probably do a combustion leak test. the kit is about 40 bucks, and lots of youtube vids on how to do it. if you fail the test, you have a bad head gasket.

I agree with mike above post, he knows what he's talking about. But how high past mid-gauge? Just a little?... ¾ up? In red?
