Why does my 2001 Toyota Camry not idle?

Asked by Guru6CTH3 Mar 18, 2020 at 05:20 PM about the 2001 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2001 Camry Toyota 2.2l . It starts perfectly. Idle is a little low on colds
starts at about 1,000 rpm, I’d expect closer to 1,500 to 1,800 RPM. After cold
start and take off it seems a little anemic, not normal acceleration power.
The issue is after it gets warmed up and off cold enrichment stops it starts to
run rough and will die at idle.  I can restart as long as I keep foot on accretor
pedal, but acceleration is very anemic. It will continue to do this while it is
warm. Once cold it will again start fine and run anemic until warm then die
again.  I have changed the plugs and checked the spark – those are good.
Any idea what this may be?
