We have replaced the dorr lock actuator twice in our 2002 camry. both times the actuator has stopped working and the door is left in the open postion. NOt latching down when door shuts. Just bounce

Have you heard of this happening? is something shorting out the actuator?

On the old manual ones, I have taken a screw driver and just pried the actuator back to the open position and then sprayed it with WD-40. They usually just get dry and jam up. Not sure if you can do it with the electronic ones or not. Worth a try.

Thank you.. This is an electric one and the actuator is stuck in the open position. When we close the door just bouces off. Actuator is not latching down..

These actuators.....did you purchase them from a Toyota Dealer....or...after market parts store?

Got them for a 2005 camry of a friend that was rear ended.. We made sure we made sure it worked before we pulled it out!

Ok...sounds like the door panel of effective doors should come apart for an inspection of the installation. BTW. Are you attempting to operate these doors with the remote....or...from inside the vehicle?
