I arked the postive wire on the alternator and now the alternator fuse won't come out of its slot. It's fallign apart as I attempt to remove it. Any pointers on how to remove this fuse?

I'm guessing the fuse melted when you arced the wire. Put the seat back all the way, get a bright light, put on reading glasses if needed. Use a very fine needle nose pliers and a pick. U should be able to pick out the fuse parts. Probably a good idea to disconnect the battery.
I thought the same thing. There are 4 wires (front and back) connected to the fuse box housing the 100 amp alternator fuse is in. those bolts that hold the wires on also bolt the fuse prongs in. So you have to remove those bolts. Its a little hairy but it is fairly easy. This question was two years old but I thought I would put the answer out there. Good luck!!
