Sounds like you need to have a Front End Suspension/Driveline Check. Drive axle Joints could be binding. Wheel Bearing might be failing. Suggest you take this vehicle to a reliable repair facility for an evaluation. Could be a Safety issue. Get back to us with results.

The grinding noise is coming from the power steering since you hear it when you turn either left or right for that try add some Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak it not only stops leaks but corrects hard steering, stops squeals and hard spots if power steering reservoir is full remove some fluid with something like a turkey baster or put in peice of cloth that will absorb the fluid into it. As far as the cracking noise from the right side suggest what Tony recommend get the front end checked out.
