2004 Toyota Camry Throttle Body Cleaning
I am purchasing a 2004 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl. with 60K. Carfax shows the car has been maintained by dealer and gives me a very comprehensive background on the vehicle. I have never seen a carfax with so much detail. Obviously this is because when the dealer services it gets reported to carfax.
It shows the throttle body was cleaned at 50K. I called the dealership and asked if this is a regular maintenance item or if this was something that would have been done because of an issue with the vehicle. In my research the throttle body seems to be the only major item of concern to me.
Thinking they clean the throttle body as more of a routine now due to the issues they have had with these. Does this sound like a reasonable explanation? Should I have any concerns. I am thinking not, but just being ultra cautious.
