Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello!
I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier with 2.2 liter non
ecotec engine, the car runs very good but the body
is falling apart and the interior is wore out.
I recently purchased a 2005 Chevy Cavalier with a
2.2 liter ecotec for a very cheap price. It has blown
motor.
I am curious if 02 - 2.2 liter non ecotec will drop
down and bolt up in the 2005 2.2 liter ecotec.
I'm thinking the wire harness and computers are
different?
Would I be better off just buying another 2.2 liter
ecotec to put in it?
Or will my 02 - 2.2 liter drop down in her?
Thanks in advance

As long as the subframes are the same (pretty sure they are) you could remove the whole complete unit with engine, transmission, axles, wiring harness ect and put it into the new shell. Use your original computer and you should be good to go

Would the motor out of my 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 L fit in my 2004 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 ecotec without having to change any wiring harnesses
