Question type: General
I want to know what the best fuel system
cleaner is & why? I also want to know what
the best oil additive is & why? The only 2
fuel system cleaners that i have seen proof
of them working was Seafoam & Royal
Purple Max Clean. I've been wanting to try
Zmax as well because I have seen many
good reviews about it & even Carroll
Shelby Supports it.

Techron or BG BK-44 are probably the best fuel system cleaners. Techron is available almost anywhere, but BG BK-44 is hard to find and somewhat expensive. Using Techron a couple of times a year will help keep deposits to a minimum. I don't have much use for Seafoam or anything dyed purple. If you use a good quality oil that is the correct grade for you engine and change it regularly, you do not need any additives. Z-Max? I have tried it and it didn't do anything but remove about $30.00 from my wallet. I think that possibly plain old mineral oil would have similar results. Carroll Shelby would recommend anything for money.

Oh, one other thing, Carroll Shelby (one of my heros) died sometime back.
