Timing chain

I wanted manually turn the engine over to
see if the timing chain is jumped time which
direction do I turn it in

So if the engine is sitting sideways looking at the engine from the front the Chain is on the left hand side do I pull the camshaft towards me or push it away

Facing the front of the engine, turn it clockwise. The front of a transversely mounted engine is on the passenger side of the vehicle. Think of the front of the engine as where the belts are.
