Auto_Centric, thank for reply. A little more back round. Bought this car 2 years ago, cat monitor wouldn't run. put downstream O2, monitor ran by end of day. now due for smog again, same problem. Used an aftermarket O2 first time. I assumed it was bad again, put in a factory sensor. also temp sensor. since then ive done upstream O2, stat and gasket. There is a lot online, but nothing i feel good about. Two things i did notice on the car, while checking the cooling sensor operation, i artificially ran the temperature higher, the gauge on dash only goes so far, under 1/2 up then stops, scan tool is at 210f +-. Is the gauge in the loop for running the monitor? Also read a post about the IAT, said it had to be withing 15f of coolant temp? Its not, and i dont recall tha being true on other makes.
