why is my "open door" light on after I make sure it's closed. Also door beeps repeatedly even when I'm out of the car and the door is closed. It also doesn't allow me to lock it. Acts like key is still in the ignition when it's not.

You may have a bad door switch, Or a short in the wiring from the door switch. Usually located on the frame of the car. Look where the door latch is when you open the door. There is usually a rubber cover on it. Google how to remove and test switch, and wiring. Hope this helps get you started.
Thank you I will be doing that. Thanks for the suggestion. I hope that's all it is. Since it's not happening with the passenger door, do you think I can rule out the ignition?
Mike37 seconds ago Best Answer How are you sure which side is causing the light if it stays on. Both doors closed and it stays on what makes the determination it isn't happening with the passenger door? I have customers 95 gt convertible in the shop ATM with the same issue but the light shows both doors open not one or the other. I have swapped both switches and still the same. Any suggestions?
Does the indicator light change for an individual door?
