Low fuel indicator light will not shut off, even though there is half a tank. The regular gas guage still works fine though? Could badb idle air valve cause this?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Low fuel light came on about same time check engine light did. Had that checked and it was an idle air valve. Would this part cause the fuel light to stay on? Check engine light is off now, but not low fuel. Also this all happened couple days after adding fuel/oil additive Mystery Oil.

Your mechanic in a can probably screwed up the fuel pump sending unit. Sorry not a fan of additives, cause more issues than good.
