I would check the fuel pump.. try banging on the bottom of the tank with a rubber mallet while trying to start. The pump is under the back seat, real easy to get to.
If that does not work, get a helper to spray a squirt of starting fluid in the intake (not too much) and if it starts that tells you it is indeed a fuel supply problem...maybe pump like Jeff says. If it still does not start , (it will only run a few seconds if it does), then it's an electrical problem
It kicks over for a second then shuts off. Could it be an electrical problem? If it is an electrical problem what could it be

No, it if kicks over for a second and then shuts off, that's the engine burning the starting fluid you squirted in there. which means your engine has proper spark etc so it's not electrical. Which means it's most probably the fuel pump, as stated.
I have a 2001 Toyota celica GT and one day I was driving it. The car like shaked or sum and then cut of while I was driving it, I thought it was the pcv valve hose since it had a leak but I replace it and it still did the same thing, we thought it was fuel pump and we replaced it but it still did the same thing. So i don’t know it it could be the fuel injectors or sum else. The car will turn on but then turn off immediately

Hello my celica gts is down also. It died while I was driving. I lost throttle . I have replaced spark plugs, all 4 ignition coil packs , and fuses. Today I will be changing out the crankshaft position sensor and will get back to see if that worked
