Hard Clutch Pedal and Sinking Pedal

I was driving to work perfectly fine but after work, when I turned the car on, it
wouldn't go into any gear unless I turned the car off and then put it into gear.
It shifted fine the entire way home. When I went to go mess around with it the
next day, I noticed the pedal was extremely hard to depress and when you
turned the car on. the pedal would stay at the floor.
The clutch was replaced a year ago, but I also learned manual on the same
clutch 6 months ago.
I did some research and found anything from the slave cylinder to an entirely
new clutch. I have symptoms for all issues. So what exactly could the issue
be?

Start with checking for a fluid leak from the master down to the slave cylinder.
