The car won't start when hot

Hello friends! My 02 Celica is having a problem
starting. When it's cold it starts up just fine. But
when it's hot after I let it sit for about 10 minutes, it
tries to turn but it won't start. It will start if I turn it
on immediately after turning it off, but if I let it sit
more than 5 or 10 minutes, it won't start until the
engine cools after a few hours the check engine
light has been on for years and what I checked it
this time it's showing the MAF sensor. I replaced
the MAF and it's still having the same problem.
While it's driving, it runs perfect. My only issue is
trying to start it after it's hot. Any suggestions?

Check your distributor cause i was having almost the same problem and i learned that when your car starts only when its cold its the coil in the distributor that is burnt out so when it gets hot the car will shut off. You have to buy the whole distributor tho cause apparently you cant just buy the coil for the distributor here in the U.S. for these cars.

for a 1990, sure, (had one of those) but now have a 2001, the 01 and 02's DO NOT have a "distributor", nor "plug wires" that come from a distributor. They have a small fine wire bundle that goes to individual coils on each plug that looks like a large plastic boot. I have the same problem and need to figure it out-
