Won't click or nothing just flashing PRND light shifter moves

I have flashing red prnd light flashing
and car won't turn over or click or
nothing ! How can I get it started ?

I'm not for sure but I have the same year car as you exactly and my research said it possibly needs a new shifter put in it ! That's what I'm gonna buy first because my car is doing the same thing as yours is!
