my 1994 corolla, has problems starting after the engine is cold. new battery, new starter, new alternator. during heatwave, started every day. now that its cooler, you see the battery draining, it clicks but wont turn over, then eventually dies. daily jumpstart, dead after a few hours if not 1 hour if engine isnt hot. help!

I have a feeling the alternator you put in is no good, have it load tested it a parts store like Auto Zone for free.

ive had the alternator tested, battery and starter as well. the guys at mavis said it was okay.

Try this basic test yourself. With engine running, turn on headlights you should notice a brief rpm drop (load being place on a working alternator). If no drop then either the voltage regulator is bad (probably inside your alternator, or the alternator itself is bad.) If you do hear a rpm drop, Check the battery with a voltmeter. You should see 13.7-14.2 volts at the battery. If not, the battery is not charging properly. Have charging system/battery inspected as Joe said. Make sure the battery cables are good as well/ with clean tight connections. If you have AAA membership they offer testing as well. It can't hurt to get a second opinion. Hope this helps.
