Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery dyed on my way home. Went ahead and buy a
new battery installed and the car crank but doesn't start.
Then i went ahead and change the ignition coil( by the way i
change the ignition 4 months ago). Still no spark at all.
Verify that i got fuel , spark plugs, cables , rotor, distributor
cap, all new. Still car cranks but doesn't start. Can someone

Considering your battery died while driving you should consider having your alternator tested (free at many auto parts stores), it could be cause or a loose/ broken wire. The crankshaft position sensor controls spark (testable with a mutimeter) as does the Ignition Control Module (ICM aka. igniter). I need to periodically clean the terminals on the ICM on my 97 Tercel or it will cut out-cut in occasionally while driving like it skips a beat (NOT a misfire). I learned that lesson on the side of the road when it cut right and wouldnt restart UNTIL I unplugged/ plugged in the connector for it, I drove away without another incidence for months. I hope this is some help to you
