How do I adjust (increase) the idle speed on a 2000 Toyota Corolla CE?

Asked by mindatpeace2012 Nov 09, 2020 at 11:54 AM about the 2000 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just need to know how to increase the idle
speed on my car so that it won't stall/die at
every Stop sign/light.... I'm fairly certain that I
have a vacuum leak, but I need to keep it
running for the next few weeks, until I can get
it into the mechanic on Nov. 24th, 2020
because my mom still needs it to get her to
work everyday (her commute is only about 15
miles to work & 15 miles back home)

You probably need to clean or replace the Idle Air Control valve (IAC).

They're just trying to keep it running until they get it to the mechanic in a couple of weeks
