Can you put a 2001 Corolla S engine and manual transmission into a 2000 corolla CE/LE/other model!?

Asked by Bobby Nov 06, 2015 at 10:54 PM about the 2001 Toyota Corolla S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need a shell for a type S corolla! Looking to transfer to older model cause too
hard to find a Type S!

1 Answer

Yes, you can. Same generation1.8L 1ZZ FE. The only difference in the 'S' Trim is that funky spoiler and some insignificant body curves. Many States do not allow older engines in later model years, but putting in a newer engine/transaxle with all emissions parts is fine
