where is the overdrive switch located on the 2005 corolla ce? and should it be on or off?

was driving this morning when i noticed a light indicating that overdrive was off.

Its probably on the shifter somewhere. Look on the shifter for a small button labeled O/D or overdrive. You want it on, unless you like crappy gas mileage and burned up tranmissions.
