The solder joints have most likely worn out on the clock. If you are able, remove the clock and resolder the 2 joints. I did this on my 2004 corolla and it worked perfectly, but it will work on any 2003-2008. I'll link a video showing the process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFwKA2dDb94
