much depends on the shop (there are 2 systems of charging by "book hours"), and intervals close to 60,000, 120,000 and 180,000 it is common to find people skipping over the 60,000 mark, but close to 100,120,000 is more necessary....but since you are in there, most recommend doing to water pump, and other not easily accessible items....

that is true....in which you will know it is in need of repair as you hear the unnecessary "clacking" of the chain against the tensioner internally....
