Since my headlights go off automatically  when I cut the ignition off , do I need to also turn the headlights  off
manually as my son-in-law says?  If yes, then please explain why.  Thank you very much.  Billie Brown
I had a dead battery Sat. And he says this is why.  I think someone left a door ajar.

no, you shouldnt have to shut the lights off manually, thats what the automatic position is for.

since your vehicle is 7 years old, there is a good chance your battery is getting weak if it is still the original.
