1991 Land Cruiser - Difficult to start and dies when you let off of the gas.

Asked by GingerSchminger Aug 02, 2013 at 09:51 AM about the 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser.  It is VERY difficult to get started and we are able to, as soon as we let off the gas it dies.  The battery is a year and a half old, the fuel pump was replaced last year and we just replaced the fuel filter, so those aren't causing the problem.  Any ideas?  We're great at working on cars, but sometimes need help with diagnosing the issue.
