If you have a check engine light on try going to Auto Zone, they will read the code for free. Sometimes the fuel system is suspect. Other times a sensor is involved.
I have had two Toyotas that have done this with me. Will start up first time no problem, then when you shut if off and restart it 10 minutes later....nothing. No engine turning over...just nothing. There is a tiny pick up coil in the bottom of your distributor. When it begins to fail, the vehicle will not start once hot. You will have to either buy a new distributor or take a chance and get one from Ebay or local salvage yard.
