wheel/tire size

Asked by GuruLLC7F Apr 07, 2019 at 04:08 PM about the 1993 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr Deluxe Standard Cab LB

Question type: Car Customization

The original tire size on my 1993 Toyota 1/4 ton is 195/75/14. I found some original Toyota wheels/tires on sale, size 205/65/15. I compared sizes and the 15 inch tires are actually smaller in diameter, can they be easily swapped, or are there issues with the brakes and such?

If 14" wheels clear the brakes the 15" should have even more clearance. You probably should go with tires the same diameter as what you have now.

Make sure bolt pattern matches up with both the new wheel & the hub bolt pattern. Also take into consideration if your speedo might be out due to upsizing to a size that does not come on that vehicle from factory.
