Hi wurmbsix! Tire Rack.com (www.tirerack.com) lists the 215/65-15 as "Original Equipment Optional" which indicates that it's certainly possible with the 15. But there are some variables in terms of options you may or may not have on your truck. Visit this page to see what options they think are available to you ... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/SelectTireSize.jsp?autoMake=Toyota&autoModel=Pick-up+2wd&autoYear=1994&autoModClar= ... and then call them (toll free 888.541.1777) to let them ask you the relevant questions about your truck. That should give you an confident idea as to what your tire options are. Good luck!
i have a 1994 2wd PU and i put 17 x 9 rims on it with 255/45 R17 Fuzion ZRI's on it and all i had to do was lift the rear end up about 3 inches with bigger shackles. the shackles were cheap too. ridin' on dubs now!
