Where is the reservoir for the rear window wiper fluid located? Is there only one container under the hood or is there another for the rear?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I operate the rear window wiper, the wipers sweep but no washer fluid comes out. The washer fluid reservoir under the hood is full. The front windshield wipers wash just fine. Is there a separate fluid reservoir for the rear window wiper?

Hi Wesietr ... I could not find any evidense there's a second reservoir on your RAV but I did find that when you look for a replacement washer fluid pump it notes that the part will replace both the front and rear pumps. I'm guessing that's where your problem is(or of course, less likely, the supply line). I believe the pump is inexpensive (less than $15) and a quick trip to your local library or book store to check out the Chilton's manual for your RAV will tell you if it's a job you should be willing to take on. Good luck!

There's no second resevoir. I would also recommend clearing the nozzle on the back of the vehicle, mine has been clogged by ice in the past.
Please be aware the wiper/washer arm is a dual direction switch. Press forward to wash rear window and pull back to wash front wihdsheild. I could not find another resevoir so assume there is a dual pump attached to the front resevoir to control when it pumps to the front window and when it pumps to the rear level. Hope that helps. I also own a 2018 Rav 4 . Answer from Kitchener,Ont, Canada
