Battery wont explode as you connected the batteries in series instead of parallel. What happened to the other vehicle? Anything in the direct path of the battery is bad and this includes: the ECM/PCM, lights, dashboard, radio, etc. Sensors such as the O2, might have escaped damage since the computer drives them.

I'd check the main fuse to see if it tripped. You could have melted or fired other components or wiring.

I change the battery and now the car stays running but still no dashboard... checked and changed the fuses that were blown ..there was only two... nothing happened to the other car that I was jumping it off... I get icons on my dash ..like buckle seat belt and door open even a check engine light when the key is in the accessories positio.. but once it starts only door open and seat belt icons stay on.. but that's it.. no gauges, no directionals, no radio,.. Etc... the car seems to run fine but I'm not about to take it out on the street to see if it would drive to a mechanic... since I have no gauges or signals.... is there a chance that it is the ECU... I was testing the fuses with a circuit tester in the fuse box underneath the hood and it was coming up with readings as if it were correct...it seems that there was connection to that point...but nothing else's
