I have a 2003 and changed the ECU, it helped the hard shifting, but still slips between 2nd & 3rd. Do I have any recourse? I'm the original owner.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I still get my transmission serviced or replaced? It has 127500 on it.

did you "purge" the ECU of any residual charges? I've been told simply disconnect the power for fifteen seconds to have it reset all it's parameters~

...many devices including the fuel pump regulator and egr rely on black butyl rubber (chewing gum and coal tar) which will crack and swell with oil, become unreliable and cause malfunctions...change each of these out with silicone rubber hoses (about ten times the cost, but worth every penny) as these do not swell or crack but remain flexible as a silicone implant~
