On a Toyota Rav4 2003 is the drive belt the same as the timing belt?

Asked by jcndan Jun 03, 2016 at 12:26 PM about the 2003 Toyota RAV4 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The mileage is 60,000. I had the drive belt replaced last year when it broke. Is
there a timing belt as well and at what milage should it be changed?

Thanks for that info. I just had it MOT'd and it passed ok but the guy advised me to have the timing belt replaced because it's done 60,000 miles. It drives like a new car and as I said I had to have the drive belt replaced when it broke last year. So basically this guy doesn't know what he's talking about?
