Glove compartment lock will not open - how do I break into it?

I have a 2004 Rav4 with a locked glove compartment that I simply cannot open. I have already tried wd-40 and picking it to see if there was anything hung up in the lock - no success. Is there any way to get in short of using a pry bar?

sometimes the simplest answers are the hardest.... Are you sure you're not trying to use the VALET key to unlock it? The Valent key won't let you have access to things like, the glove box, the trunk, etc. Check to see if any of your other keys for that car unlock it...

I'd have to agree with Tliddle, besides if you try a prybar you may end up destroying the glove box and the dashboard in the process
