The Equinox doesn't have a power steering pump, It has a power steering motor. If your steering is hard, look at the 80 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox LT 3.0L V6 AWD model has a Hydraulic Power Steering rack and pinion steering system. The pump is driven off the serpentine belt, tucked up between the firewall and the timing cover on the right side of the engine bay.
